I work with voice.
With what is spoken,
and what is not.
A lifetime in theatre.
Actor. Writer. Director.
But more than that —
a listening.
To what gathers
before it is said.
I am drawn to chorus.
Not as one voice,
but as many.
Fragmented.
Hesitant.
Arriving.
Much of my work returns
to lament.
Not as sorrow alone,
but as a civic act.
A way in which private feeling
enters shared space.
I am interested in:
voice emerging from silence
the body as a site of knowing
language before language
and the moment
when one voice is called forward
not to speak for all
but to begin
This work lives across forms:
theatre
spoken story
writing
gatherings
I live and work in Australia.
